Utah Real Estate market statistics remain a guide for Buyers and Sellers to strategize their next “move”.

Buyers in Salt Lake & Davis county are wise to utilize market statistics to strategize their next move. The Utah Real Estate Market statistics are a good guide for Buyers to understand the housing market. In other words, buyers who know what they need and how to compete are creating an advantage for themselves in this market. Those buyers who are waiting to see what happens in the market are actually costing themselves money. The arrows indicating the “median” price have been pointing up month after month. This upward growth statistic looks to continue throughout 2021 and into the 2022 year.

There are additional indicators showing that homes are not remaining on the market long. A Buyer is strategic when meeting with their lender and local professional real-estate agent as the first step. Buyers that are prepared and understand the market statistics and trends are most likely to achieve success.

Why Sellers need to understand the Strategy in Statistics?

Developing a selling strategy should be a sellers initial focus. The current sellers market has many sellers interested in capturing the growth of their existing property investment. The statistics of the current market help us understand the best way to guide a seller wishing to move up or down in the market. In addition, a well executed selling strategy will ensure that the seller uses their funds in the best possible manner. Is the local Inventory Growing?

Yes! The local inventory is seeing an increase for both Davis & Salt Lake counties. The homes sold in both counties increased as well as active listings. However, the listing inventory is still around 50% less than inventory in 2020. By knowing the numbers it allows the development of a successful buying or selling strategy. This slight growth in inventory can impact your strategy differently depending on if you are a Buyer or a Seller. It also has an interesting impact if you a Seller and a Buyer jointly.
