December 2020 – Salt Lake & Davis Counties Market Statistics

As 2020 rolls into the 2021 year, we didn’t see any drastic changes across the Utah Real Estate Market Statistics and the impact on Buyers & Sellers The December statistics for Davis & Salt Lake counties are posted below. We continue to see the following three key components contributing to the impact on local Buyers & Sellers.

  1. Prices continue to creep upward.
  2. Days on the Market for Properties remain under an average of 10 days.
  3. The number of listings diminishes.

Current market statistics and the impact to Buyers?

You must get pre-qualified. In other words, you must choose a lender and determine your purchasing power. Lenders have great loan packages available for all levels of buyers and credit. Utah Real Estate Market Statistics – why waiting is costing you Money?

The biggest reason to move now is that waiting is costing you money. Consider these facts: The current average square footage cost is $190 in Salt Lake County – in June this was $173. Therefore, if you have waited it has potentially cost you $34,000 dollars. These calculations are based on $17 a square foot on a 2000 Sq. Ft Home. In Davis County waiting has cost you a potential $34,880 as the average square footage cost is $17.44 a Sq. Ft.
