The news is full of stories about how many of our local families and friends are going hungry. It makes my heart break to think that people living near me are without basic food and hungry. I feel so blessed and lucky for my family, friends, my life and the community I live in and support. As I strive to promote the Wasatch Front community with my local blog WasatchFrontLife, I need to step-up and do something about the local need for food – and stop hunger around us. BOUNTIFUL FOOD PANTRY – They like to say that Changing Lives Takes a Community. The Bountiful Food Pantry serves those residents in Davis County. They have a Christmas Breakfast Package Donation Option which I am looking forward to participating in with my family this year. It consists of a reusable bag with pancake mix, muffin mix, syrup, jam, juice and hot chocolate to make a holiday morning special. I know my family will enjoy creating something to share with those in our community this year. They are in need of donations and are accepting them most days during the week.
UTAH FOOD BANK – You can join me in shopping virtually for items to donate or donate cash through the link above. They have food donation items at the Salt Lake location, Riverton Chevrolet, Legacy Retirement in South Jordan or any Harmons Grocery location.
RESCUE MISSION OF SALT LAKE – Current needs are for Blankets, Chapstick, Winter Shoes. They want us all to know that just $11.64 sponsors food for a table of 12 people. We can all help.
SALT LAKE CITY SALVATION ARMY – They have a virtual kettle program this year as well as the ADOPT AN ANGEL PROGRAM.
